This track was a total accident. It actually came from a previous idea, a very bluesy, R&B style sappy song (to mix some Americana in there) but it just sounded bad. It WAS an idea I'd had in Chile, but it still sounded bad. I'd even had a beautiful Argentine friend of mine, Mari Polé, record her voice in a studio for it. I felt terrible and that I'd let her and myself down.

So I changed it. I took just pieces of what Mari had recorded and played a lot, through many different ideas. This is what came out.

To me, it's fire. It's keeping something burning. It's being immersed in the utter chaos of uncertainty, maybe even running away from certainty itself. It's tremendous and overwhelming to me.
